
Pyschophysiology of Lower Back Pain and Treatment
In this research presentation, Natasha Nesic explored the psychophysiological mechanisms underlying chronic low back pain and examined evidence-based approaches to treatment. Drawing from neuroscience, pain physiology, and psychophysiological research, the work highlights how stress, autonomic nervous system activation, muscle tension, and altered pain processing contribute to the development and persistence of chronic pain.
